Six Degrees Urban is an urban design and master planning practice based in Sydney, Australia. We specialise in projects at the macro and micro scales — from Metropolitan Strategies, large scale masterplans and precinct plans through to streetscape guidelines, urban design frameworks, and individual place plans. 

Six Degrees Urban is lead by Craig Allchin. Craig was a founding partner of Six Degrees Architects, a Melbourne based architectural practice that was part of the revitalization of inner city Melbourne through the 1990’s delivering innovative, mixed use renewal projects, many involving the creation of fine grained, active ground planes.  

On our projects, we utilise lessons learnt from Fine Grain Melbourne, and experience working on large and small projects in Asia, the Middle East, the USA, Europe and all the major Australian Cities. We start any project by zooming out to explore the wider context, identify the key issues and examine relevant case studies to work toward specific, place based urban design solutions.
